We allow one account per valid email address. If you have more than one valid email address and a separate personality to match, then yes, you can have more than one account with us. However, to maximize your efficacy with DesiMartini and build stronger bonds with the community, we recommend you stick to just one account.

No problem. We can send you the information through your email. All you need to do is go to our homepage and click the Forgot Password link under the login box. Then just enter your username or email address and we will mail the password across to you. If you can't remember the email that you registered with or your username then please contact us and we will try and sort you out! Tip: If you have a problem remembering your password of find it tedious to enter your username and password every time you enter Desimartini, you can make life easier by using the Remember Me function below the login box. This pre-populates the login page with your member name and password so you don't have to type it in. If your member name and password has been saved on a computer that you wish you hadn't, then clear your cookies to remove the saved information. Go to the browser's Tools, click on Options and click on Clear cookies.
To change your access password all you have to do is log in, go to your profile page, click on Account Settings in the left panel and type in you new password, and click change and you're done!

Just Log in to your profile, go to the left panel, click on My Account, then the My Privacy tab and then click on Delete my Account. We'll take you through a few simple steps to verify the deletion and then you're good to go! Deleting your account means your whole profile will be deleted - there will be no record of the list of friends, messages, pings, groups, polls or blogs that you created in your private network.
Nope, we're sorry, once an account has been deleted it's gone forever. But please feel free to open a new one again!
Yes. After 9 months of inactivity, we assume you're probably not going to come back, so we delete accounts. But don't worry, we will send you a few reminder mails and alerts before that happen, so you need only log in to prevent that happening. Also we delete members who continuously post offensive or pornographic content despite our requests to discontinue posting such content.
If you think you want to take a break from us for a while but don't want to delete your account as you think you'll get back to your profile, then you can deactivate your account instead. Click on Manage account in your Profile page, then click on the My Privacy tab and hit Deactivate my account at the bottom of the page. This does not delete your account, but puts your account in 'sleep' mode, so you won't be receiving any mails, notifications or updates for the period that you won't be visiting DesiMartini.
There are several types of emails you will be receiving from DesiMartini if you choose to. Some of these emails are notifications about friends trying to contact you or their activities. Other emails keep you updated on the cool stuff happening on DesiMartini. If you wish to stop receiving certain emails from us, then click on My Accounts in the profile page

If you don't know your friends' username, then you can easily find them by using our Search profile function located at the top of the page. You can then narrow down your search by typing in their first and last name and their location. This should produce a list of members with that name in that area. You can further narrow down your search by specifying the age and gender that you're looking for
If you fill out your personal details and interests section fully and accurately then you will be able to find someone with similar interests in 5 ways: 1. People browsing through profiles will see that you have included an interest similar to theirs and contact you. 2. You can browse through profiles and look at people's interest section to see if they have similar interests. 3. You can join a group about a hobby or passion that you like, or create your own group and ask people who share same passion as you, to join. Members who join your group or are already part of the group are candidates for friends with similar interests. 4. Ask a question about your interests, and target the people who answer - they have the same interest! 5. We will send out notifications of people or groups that might interest you to your email, so make sure you fill out your profile details correctly!
To send a message to someone who isn't on your friend list, you will have to send them a private ping. You can click on that person's profile and click Send Private Ping below their profile picture. They will receive your message in their Private pingdom as soon as they log in.
A little green button will appear next to their profile picture if they're online. If they're on your friend list, then they will also appear in the list of your Online Friends.
No, every time you're online your friends will know as you'll appear automatically in their My Online friends list.
If you are unable to view someone's profile, it's because they have set their profile to private, so only if you're on their friends list, can you see their profile. If you want that person to add you as their friend, you can send them a friend request or a private ping.
You will receive an email notification and a friend update on your ipage if someone has accepted your friend request.
An intro is when a friend of your introduces you to a friend of theirs. So if you know X and they know Y, but you don't know Y, then you can be introduced to Y through X. An intro is a way of getting an introduction to someone whom you don't know but would like to know, through a friend. This usually makes your friendship request easier, as Y is more likely to be your friend is they know you have a friend in common
If you find someone, say X, that you would like to be introduced to, then click on their profile. At the bottom of the page, you will see a list of the friends you have in common. To get an intro, click on one of the common friends whom you would like to do the introduction. The common friend will then receive a notification that you want an intro to a X and will then send a request to X that you would like to be introduced to them. However, if you and X share no common friends, that you cannot get an intro!
No the member will not be notified by us that they've been deleted as a friend, until they try to contact you, and are unable to send you a ping - only friends can send you pings.
If you think someone is pestering or annoying you on the site, you can ignore them by clicking on the ignore button right next to a ping they sent you, or you can click on their profile, and click on Ignore under their profile picture. Ignoring someone means you won't be able to receive any communication from them - no pings or chat. We recommend you use the ignore feature only when you feel it is really necessary.
You can send a friend request to as many people as you want. However, we suggest that you don't, as many members would see this as spamming. Try to engage in a conversation with the person and see if they would be interested in accepting a friend request before you send them one. Sending requests to random people who haven't heard from you before won't get you anywhere and people will only label you as desperate!
Yes you can! You can invite friends through your email contact book. You can do this by clicking on Search and then selecting your email service provider. Then you can enter your username and password for your email (we do not store or sell this information) and DM will tell you which of your friends are already on DM and they can be added as your friends. You can also invite people who are not on DM to be your friends. Another way of adding people as friends is by looking at through your social network contacts. Contacts on the network will be sent a request to be added as your friend. DM will send them an email invite informing them of your request. We support the following email accounts: AOL, Gmail, Indiatimes mail, Hotmail, Lycos Mail, Rediffmail, Yahoo Mail, GMX, Fast mail, ICQ mail and mail.com We support these social networks: Orkut, Friendster, Hi5, MySpace, Facebook.
When you click on Expand Network on the top right panel of the page or under your Friends' list, a new page opens up with profile pictures of all your friends and your friends' friends. So you can see how many people you can get to know through your friends' network. This allows you to gauge the potential of the number of friends you can make! If you see a friend's friend that you might like, then you can ask for an intro, and get introduced to the new friend. So if you want to increase your friend circle, then just click 'expand network' and see the options you have!
Testimonials are statements or a short essay that a friend has written about you, usually telling you that they think you're a great person and appreciate having you around! You can only write testimonials for people in your friends list. Your testimonials will appear on your profile page, so other people browsing through your page can see what your friends have said about you.
Click on the friend for whom you would like to write a testimonial. On their profile page, scroll down to Testimonials, and then click on 'Write a Testimonial' at the top right of the box. Then just write anything you want about your friend! Testimonials are usually praises, so make sure you only write good things! You friend will then receive a notification that you've written a testimonial, will be asked to approve it, and once approved, it will appear on their profile page, alongside your name and profile picture.
You can ask anyone from your friends list to write you a testimonial, and if they know you well enough and have nice things to say about you, they will agree to write a testimonial for you. You can then refer them to the above question on how to write a testimonial, and you're set! Remember, only people on your friend's list can write you a testimonial!
To join a group, click on 'groups' under Add Friends in the top navigation bar. You can search for groups in the Featured Groups, or in Find Groups. Once you find the group, click on the group name. Once the group page opens up, click on 'join group' link on the top right side of the page.
You can browse through the Featured groups or most popular groups which have the most members, or the groups that are the most active which have the most posts recently. If you can't find anything there, then you can browse groups in categories that you might be interested in - Love and relationships, Alumni, Work and Education, Hobbies and Interests etc.
If you the know the group's specific id name then you can type the name into the search bar at the top of the page and it will bring you to that group. Otherwise, type in the subject the group is about and the search will come up with groups that have that subject mentioned in its description. If you know who created the specific group, then you can go to their profile page, click on their Groups box and browse through the groups that they're a part of.
To create a new group, just go to the My Groups box on your profile page and click Create Group. The page will then prompt you to fill in the details of your new group, such as the category, the group id, the group description and whether it's a public or moderated group.
A moderated group means only certain members can join the group, approved by the group owner, and the group owner has the authority to remove members of the group that are misbehaving or not abiding by group rules. A public group is open to all members, anyone can join and doesn't need the permission of the group owner.
You can't delete a group once you have created it, as other members within the group might not approve. However, if a group has been inactive for very long, or users are not posting anymore, you can ask admin to delete the group for you.
If you have created a group and want to make it popular, try and invite as many friends as you can to join the group. The more members the group has, the more chance it has to appear on the Most Popular list, or on the Featured groups list. Also, try and incite as many people to post on the group about subjects relevant to the group description - the more posts the group has, the higher the chance of it appearing on the Most Active Groups list.
You can do this by clicking on 'Invite Friends' which appears on the left hand panel of the group page. The page will direct you to a list of your friends, and you can tick which friends you want to invite to your group. A message will then be sent to your friends' profile page or email address, inviting them to come join your exciting new group
A group is a community where people who share the same interests join as members so that they can be part of the discussions of the group, get updated on group events and let others know that the group subject is something that they're interested in. So for example, if you join the Mountain Biking group, then you can meet other members who enjoy the same, share your experiences with them and stay updated on mountain biking excursions across India. A discussion forum can be started by anyone on any subject, and any members can choose to comment or add to the discussion - you don't have to be a member. A discussion forum is a place to air your views or questions, and anyone from the site can be a part of it.
We're afraid you can't - you can invite someone to join your group. But the decision to join your group is theirs, you can't automatically add them!
Only if it's a moderated group then yes, you can delete someone from your group, but then make sure it's for a good reason!
If it's a moderated group, then people have to seek your approval before joining the group. Therefore, you have the power of disallowing someone to join your group!
You might not be able to send a message to all the members in a group because the members exceed the maximum number of messages that can be sent at one time. In order not to overload our servers, you can only send a mass message to 20 members or less. You can choose the members that you want to send the messages to from the checkboxes provided once you select the group message feature.
Group photos are uploaded on to the group page by members of the group. You can upload photos to a group page only if you are a member or owner of the group. If you want to add more photos to a group, click on Add Photos, and upload any photo from your file to be added to the group album.
A group owner is someone who starts a group, and manages or moderates the group, starting up certain discussions, making sure that members of the group behave themselves and keeping some troublemakers out. If you want to own a group, you can create a group of your choice, and ask your friends to join in!
To upload pictures, click on My photos on your profile Page and then click on Add Photos. A page will open up from where you can browse through your photos on your hard disk and upload as many pictures as you want. To upload multiple photos, Click on Add Photos, then click on Add Multiple Photos, and a page will open up with several boxes which lets you upload several pictures at one time.l
Click on My Videos on your profile page, and then click Add video. Copy the url of your recorded video on Youtube and paste it into the text box next to Add video. Click on the 'Add' button - and you're done.
Every pic/vid that you have uploaded is always stored in you're My Photos or My Videos folder. So you can search through these folders to find the picture you want. If you can't find your pic/vid in these folders, then either your video has been deleted from Youtube, due to inappropriate content, or the admin at DesiMartini has deleted them.
At DesiMartini, we like to maintain high quality standards and make sure our site is a great place for people of all ages to feel safe and comfortable. Therefore, we have regulations about pornographic, offensive or inappropriate content on our site. If anyone uploads pics/vids that we think does not comply with our regulations, we will have it deleted immediately and send a warning to the user that any repeated action to upload offensive content will have them removed from the site permanently.
If you want to remove a pic or vid from the site, then you can do so by clicking on the Delete button that appears next to the photo/vid. You can only delete pics/vids that you have uploaded, not any other content on the site. If you think that a particular pic/vid should be deleted, but you haven't uploaded it, then you can click on Report to Admin next to that item.
We have organized our pics/vids under certain categories, so that if you have an interest in any area, you can just click on that category and browse through a list of all pics/vids that pertain to that category. For example, if you like wildlife pictures, just click on Animals/Wildlife under Photos in the top panel and you'll see a list of wildlife pictures. Or if you like funny videos, then click on the Humour/Funny category under Videos in the top panel, and you'll see a list of videos you might like. If you're not sure of what you like, then you can browse through Top Rated or our Featured photos/vids, and maybe you'll find something you like!
We value your privacy so we have provided you with an option to keep your albums private and only allow your friends to see them, no one else. Simply create a new album and set the access to Private (if you want to be the only one to see them) or Friends (if you want only your friends to see them). Only you or your friends would be able to see them. Upload a picture album and then click on the Set Access drop down menu next to your Album name.
If you think a pic/vid has content that has inappropriate nudity or violence, or a pic/vid that is pornographic in nature, then just click on the 'Report to Admin' button that appears next to the pic/vid, and an alert will be sent to the administrator, who will delete the content and warn the user not to upload any pics/vids with offensive content.
To upload a video to DesiMartini that isn't from Youtube, you have to upload the video to Youtube first. Once you've done that, click on My Videos on your profile page, and then click Add video. Copy the url of your recorded video on Youtube and paste it into the text box next to Add video. Click on the 'Add' button - and you're done.
When you vote for a pic/vid, you're showing your appreciation for that particular pic/vid. If lots of people vote for that pic/vid, it will appear on the Top Rated section, so all our members can view it more easily and see what kind of pics/vids are being made popular on Desimartini.
If you have photos/videos that you'd like your friends to see, you can upload them to your profile. You're friends will automatically get a news alert on their iPage that you have uploaded new photos on your page, and can click on the feed if they want to view it. You can also click on 'invite friend' every time.
You can browse through your friends' profiles, scroll to their Photos box and click View All, which will display all the albums your friend has uploaded. Everytime a friend uploads a new album, you will receive a news update on your Friends Update section on theiPage. Just click on the update and you'll be taken directly to their new album for your viewing pleasure!
Just click on the Vote button next to the picture/video, and you're set!

You can see anyone's photos as long as their album is set for the public and as long as their profile is also publicly accessible. Just browse through our Photos section and see what folks have uploaded on to their public albums. If you want to see someone's personal photos, go to their profile and click on their My Photos box. It will then display the list of albums they've uploaded, which you can click on to view at your own leisure!
To view all the photos you've uploaded, just go to the My Photos box on your profile page. Then click on any of the albums that you have created and view your photos.

No, due to copyright laws we don't allow any peer sharing or downloading of music.
You can search for anything you want, from Rajnikant to rugby! Our database accesses every video from YouTube, so you don't need to leave the site to view all the videos that are posted on Youtube. Happy viewing!
Top rated photos are photos accessible to all members that have been voted on the most by members. So the photos which have received the most votes appear on our top rated photos list. To vote for a photo, just click on the photo you're viewing, and then click the Vote for this Photo button, which will appear at the top of the photo.
Featured groups/videos/photos/blogs are the best content chosen by the DM admin. If they feel that something is particularly interesting, useful or beautiful, it will appear in the featured section.
You can continue to upload amazing content that would be considered beautiful or interesting and hope it manages to catch our DM Admin's eye! As long as the content is unique, isn't copied from somewhere else, isn't offensive or inappropriate and looks good or interesting, it has a very high chance of it being featured.
Our SpeakOut section has blogs, discussion forums, Questions, chat and polls where you can write your opinions, post your thoughts, ask questions or just see what the rest of the DM population is talking about. So if you want your voice to be heard on Desimartini, then Speak Out!
There are two ways to chat with people on DesiMartini. You can chat one on one with your friends on DM (as long as they are added as your friends) by clicking on the chat icon next to their name on your profile. The green icon shows that they are currently online and available for chat or they will be under you Online Friends list in your profile page. When you click on the green button, it will open a pop-up window on your computer as well as your friend's computer. For the pop-up to open, you should have pop-ups enabled on your browser for DesiMartini.com - you can do this by selecting allow pop-ups for desimartini.com when your browser asks you what you want to do for new pop-ups. You can also enter one of our chat rooms by clicking on Chat under Speak Out or Time Pass located at the top panel of the Page. A new page will load up, and automatically put you into one of our city chat rooms, depending on which city you're from. You can then chat publicly with whoever is in the chat room.

To engage in private chat with someone, just double click on the username of the person you want to chat with and click Private Chat, This will open up a separate room private room for you and that member, so that you can chat away privately!
The chat rooms include Women's Only (where only female members of DM are allowed to enter), Looking for Love, Make Friends and chat rooms assigned to various major cities across India.

Your chat page is divided into 2 sections. In the right section you can view the list of usernames of all the members who are present in the chat room at that moment.
Pings are messages that your friends send you through DesiMartini that you can view when you're logged into the site. Pings will appear on your Pingdom, so you can view them when you're viewing your profile.
Pings are messages that your friends send you that appear on your Pingdom. Anyone who views you profile page can see the messages on your pingdom. Private pings are messages that no-one else can see except you, and friends as well as non-friends can send you private pings.
If you have checked yes, in your Privacy settings in My account for an email notification every time a friend pings you, then you will receive an email when you get a new ping from a friend. Also in your profile page, you will receive an alert in your private ping box, as to how many new pings you have received.
Just Click on Private Pings in the left navigation panel of the page, and you will be able to read all your private pings.
Yes you can! Through your mobile phone, you can instantly update your status, send a ping or a private ping to any of your friends or members on DesiMartini! Read below to see how!

If you want to send a private message to someone on DesiMartini, then SMS "dm prvt username message" to 54242 and they'll receive your message under their private pings. If their username is aditi01, then your SMS will be: dm prvt aditi01 hey wanna meet up around 8? Note: You can send a private ping to anyone on DesiMartini, even if they haven't added you as a friend yet!
Yes, you have the option to delete comments made on your videos, blogs or pictures. Just click the delete button below the comment.
If a DM member uses offensive or obscene language, you can report the user by clicking on their profile and clicking on the Report User button. A page will then open and you can click on the reason you want to report the user. We will then send the user a warning. If the user still continues to use offensive language you can report the user again and we will threaten to remove the user from the site.
You can find out in 2 ways: 1. You will automatically receive an update on your ipage, that you have received a new comment on your blog/pic/discussion. 2. If you have checked 'yes' to all email notifications on your Privacy Settings in Manage Account, then you will also receive an email to notify you that you have received a new comment on your blog/pic/discussion. You can choose to turn your email notifications off if you don't wish to receive updates my mail.
Yes we do allow html-linked messages in pings, so you can post music, e-cards, animations etc on your friends' Pingdoms!
The Mail you have on DesiMartini, is just like any other online mailbox, from which you can send and receive mails. It's different from pings, as mails can carry a lot more data and be sent to as many people as you want within DesiMartini, as well as email addresses outside of DM! People mostly use DM mail to send forwards to their friends, or to send a message to many people within their friends list.
Just click on Compose mail, and type in the email address of the person you would like to send your mail to - and click send. Voila, your email has been sent to them!
Click Inbox when you enter your mail account. On the left corner, tick the checkboxes of the mails that you wish to delete. Then click Delete at the top of the page, and all your checked mails will be deleted.
Click on Inbox and then click on the the email that you wish to reply to - on the top panel of the email box click on the button Reply, and compose your new email.
Click on Speak Out on the top navigation bar and then scroll down to Polls. Click on the 'Create Poll' button. Enter your question and the options (up to 7 options). E.g.: Question- what is your fav day of the week? Option: Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat. Then, click on the Create Poll button. You can also go to My Polls on your Profile Page, and click on Create new Poll, and follow the same steps as above.
Once you have created your poll, click on the button "Invite Friends" which then gives you a check list of all the people in your friends list and you can tick the ones you want to invite to vote on your poll. Once you've ticked the friends you want, hit "Invite" and an email notification and friend update will go out to all your friends, asking them to come vote on your poll.
If you have a question about anything, and want to use our helpful DesiMartini members as a source for information, then the best thing to do is ask a question. The question will go out to everyone in your city or area, and once someone answers the question, you will receive an email notification and a news update in your iPage.

To get regular updates about a particular blog, add the blog to your Favourites section and you will receive an update on your iPage every time they post a new blog entry. To add the blog to your Favourites list, click on the blog you like and then click Add to Favourites on the left panel of the page. Now every time the blog has a new post, you will be informed of it on your Friend updates section.
Your iPage is like your own personal news feed page, where every box gives you new information every day about a particular area of interest. You can customize your ipage to have the following applications: Star Birthday, Joke of the day, Gadget of the Day, Stock Updates, Weather updates, Stud of the day, Babe of the day, News of the day, Bollywood Gossip, Top 10 song list, Poll of the day/week and much more! In addition, your Friend updates also appear here where you can track what your friends are upto, along with updates on what else the buzz is on DesiMartini.
You can go the Manage Account on the left panel of your page. Then click on the iPage settings Tab. You can then choose to add or remove any of the applications that you would like to see on your iPage.
The profile of the day/week is when DesiMartini honors and displays the best profile of the day/week depending on how popular that person's profile has been, or how many DM points they managed to score. The profile of the week/day features a girl and a guy, who appear on all our members' ipages for that day/week.
To be profile of the day, you need to have the highest number of visits on your site for that day or that week To get more people to visit your site, you have to a)make as many friends as possible, b) make your profile as interesting as possible by putting up your pictures/videos and filling out all your profile information and c) getting involved with the community so that you're visible and popular enough for people to want to come and visit you.
To be featured as one of these profiles of the week/day you need to get as many members to rate you in any particular category (cool, funny, hot, cute etc). If for that particular day/week you get the highest number of ratings, then you'll be that featured profile of the week.
Friend updates are news items you receive on your friend's activities. These come in the form on Friend Updates on your iPage. In your Friend Updates, you'll be able to track what your friends have done recently, like make new friends, post new blog entries, join new groups or added new photos albums to their profile.
Go to their profile and click on the appropriate icons beneath the profile picture. Depending on the icon you click you can rate a user as cool, cute, sexy, hot or funny.
The games on the site include Cricket, Minesweeper, Snake, Sudoku, Chess, Tictac, Ball Breaker, Banana, Blackjack, Dragon Fist, Free Kick, King Ping and Mini Putt. Select the game you want to play. Then, click on 'Play' in the game itself and enjoy!
All our games have instructions. Just click on the game you want to play, and the game will load a menu. Click on instructions which appears in the menu list, and you're set!
Yes you your friends, and see if they can beat your score! Click on the game you want to play. Click on the invite a friend button, and select the friends you want to invite from the checkbox list and click submit. Your friends will get an email and an alert on their ipage informing them that you want to invite them to play a game. To invite friends who are not from Desimartini, you can type in their email address in the text box that appears when you click Invite friends, and we'll send them an email inviting them to come play a game and try and beat your score!

The DM score is a tracker for how much activity you perform on Desimartini. The higher the activity, the more points you get, so the higher your DM score. Activities inlclude, writing blogs, joining groups, asking/answering questions, filling out your profile, creating polls, starting discussions, posting pictures etc. As you get a higher DM score, you can get featured on DM as the profile of the week! So the higher you score, the higher your fame on DM!
On your profile page, you have a Favourites Folder, which is a list of all your Favourite items from various sections; you can have favourite profiles, blogs, photos and videos/ Wshen you add something to your Favorites, you can easily view that item without having to peruse through the whole site again. It will also help you keep track of any updates of that item. For example if you have favourited a blog, then everytime there's a new post on that blog, you'll get a news update which you can click on so you can go immediately see the new post. To add something to your favourites list, click on the profile/blog/photo/vid that you want to add, and then hit the Add Favourites button. Your item will be added to your list
Tags are like a one word title or description for a photo/blog/vid so that the item can be easily searched for and retrieved when you need to find it, or when someone else is looking for relevant data to match. As photos/vids are images, a tag gives a textual context to the photo/vid so that someone looking at the tags will immediately know what the photo/vid is about without having to look through the entire video or load the photo.
Blogs are the short form of Web Logs and is basically an online journal that individuals use to interact with the world. A blog can contain anything you wish, such as an online diary of your personal life, personal opinions, news, reviews, insights� your imagination is the limit! A blog can be updated regularly, so readers who like the way you write or think can keep coming back to see what new stuff you've posted. Go to my Blogs in your profile section, and click on Add New entry. Then fill in the title of the Blog you want to create and set your imagination free in the text box below. Everytime you want to add a new post to your blog, just click on Add new entry in the My Blogs section.
The Report to Admin feature sends an alert to the DesiMartini Administrator about any offensive, inappropriate or pornographic content of the site. If you find a particular video/picture/blog/user/group offensive, you can inform admin by clicking on the Report to Admin button alongside the item. The report will then be sent to admin, who will then take a call on whether to delete the particular item or send the user a warning.
Discussion forums are like pin-boards where you can post a question or an observation and anyone on the site can come and post a comment to add to it. A forum is a fun and quick way to start a discussion about anything under the sun and invite people to come and post their thoughts. To start a discussion, click on Speak Out in the top Navigation bar, click on Disuccion Forums. A page will load, where you choose the category of your new disussion, and enter your comment/discussion point in the text box provided. Click Submit, and voila, your discussion is posted for all to see and join!
Our Love Calculator is a cool application that let's you know if you're compatible with any members on DesiMartini that you have a crush on. Using an interest matching algorithm, the Love Calculator gives you the percentage of how well you match with your potential love. To use the Calculator, click on Cool Stuff in the top navigation panel, and scroll down to the Love Calculator. A page will load, where you can enter the name, gender, location or age of the person on DesiMartini with whom you want to check your compatibility. Once you've entered the fields, click Find, and the page will load list of the profiles that match your search. Scroll to the profile you want, and click Calculate, and see what answers the Love Calculator has for you!
A Tag cloud is a visual table of the search words or tags, that our members have used to search content on DesiMartini. The tag words that have the largest point size are the words are usually the most popular tags used by our members.. The Tag cloud helps you understand what kind of content is listed in a particular section of our site, and prompts your search for what you need.
1. You can tell new people about it using your email contact book. You can do this by clicking on 'Invite Friends' at the top navigation panel under Add Friends. Then select your email service provider. Then you can enter your username and password for your email (we do not store this information) and DM will tell you which of your friends are already on DM. You can then choose to tell the ones who are not on DM by ticking their name. You can also invite people who are not on DM to be your friends by filling in their email addresses. 2. Tell people how cool DM is through your social networks. Under Invite Friends, click on the social network that you want to tell your friends about DM and a list will appear of all the people on your friends list. Check the ones you want to tell, and. DM will send them an email invite informing them of your request.
As soon as you see content that you think is cool then you can invite your friends to come see and comment on it! Next to the item you like, click on 'Invite Friend to comment' and a page will load listing all your friends on DM. You can then choose from the checklist the people you want to inform about that particular content. You can also invite people who aren't members on DM, by clicking on Invite Friend to comment, and then typing in their email addresses. A mail will be sent to their inbox, notifying them that you've found something cool and would like them to come and see it and share the experience!

When you choose to 'send a card' on DesiMartini, it's a real greeting card that will be delivered to the person. It's not an e-card through email, but a real greeting card! You can send a card to anyone on DesiMartini even without knowing their postal address.
Go to the DesiMartini profile of the person who you want to send the card to. At the top, there is a button called 'Send a Card'. Clicking on it, will take you to the card section of DesiMartini. You can select your cards, type your own message and place your order. We (DesiMartini) will notify the recipient about the card. Once they accept the card, we'll send the card to the recipient's address. The address & contact details of the recipient are not shared with the sender or any third party under any circumstance.
Yes. The price of the cards is extremely economical ranging between Rs. 25 to Rs.60. Remember, you can bring a smile to your friend or form a cherished bond of a lifetime by sending a special card that costs a small amount of money.
Placing an order takes less than 10minutes. Just click on the Send a Card button on the person's profile. Let the page load and then choose the occasion/category, if any- Eg.- birthday, friendship, thank you, etc. Click on the card you like. You can go on to personalize it by typing your own message, their name and your name if you wish. Then click on Proceed to Payment and pay by credit card/debit card/ATM card/ITZ card/Net banking
Special Tips:
. Wish a friend on their birthday by clicking on Send a Card next to their name. Go to upcoming birthdays section on your iPage. OR
. If you remember the name or username of the person to whom you want to send a card but you can't find their profile, simply search for them through the search bar present at the top any page. Choose the right person from the list and click on Send a Card next to their name.
Don't worry, we have a solution. You can go on and place your order. We will send an email to the recipient through which they will either Accept or Reject the card. The recipient will accept the card if they want it and your card will be delivered. They will reject it if they don't want it and your card won't be delivered and the order will be cancelled.
Once the order is placed, the recipient is sent an email and asked to Accept or Reject the card being sent to him. If they accept, the order is processed and the card is delivered to them. If they reject, the order will be cancelled. You will be informed about the same through an email, the money will be credited back to your 'user account' on our site and you can use that money to place orders in future.
It takes less than 10 minutes to place an order .The delivery of the card takes time is 5-7 business days after the recipient's approval.

To share a celebrity column/update, go to the column and click on the 'Share' link below the column. A list opens ups up from where you can choose to share the column through email or any other website. Just click on your choice and follow the instructions.
The Page 3 section has photos from the hottest celebrity parties. There are photos of bollywood celebs, models, designers and other famous people. These photos are also published in HT City(Hindustan Times) everyday.
You can post instant love messages to anyone on the 'Dil Se' section. If you're lucky, your message could be published in Ht City(Hindustan times).
To share your Dil Se message with friends, go to the Dil Se section. Simply enter email IDs of your friends in the field- 'Share it with friends to' and click 'Send'. Your friends will receive your Dil Se message on their e-mail IDs.
We allow only five hundred characters in a Dil Se message; but we have a solution for a long Dil Se message- Go to 'Blogs' from the 'Speak-out' section and post your love message in your blog. Click on 'Post a Blog' and get started. You be creative with the love message by using different fonts, colors, etc.

An online chat starts when two or more people anywhere across the world correspond with each other by typing back and forth in a common area (a chat room) at the same time. Chat brings large groups of people such as - business executives, students, etc. from all walks of life- sharing common some common interests- together in a way, which make the exchange of ideas and information easier.
First Login or Register on DesiMartini.com. To go to Desimartini Chat, go to ‘Friends’ or ‘Time-pass’ from the top header. From the options that open, click on ‘Chat Rooms’. Then click on ‘Join Chat’. You will land in the chat room after a couple of seconds. Make sure your pop-up blocker is disabled.
You will not be able to see the chat window if a pop up blocker is blocking it. To turn off the pop-up blocker, click on the ‘pop-up blocked’ alert message that appears on the top of the window after you click on ‘Join Chat’ button OR unblock it from your browser settings from Tools ----- Options
After you have entered a chat room, you can start typing in the input text box placed at bottom of the chat window, which says ‘type here…’ Press eEnter or click on ‘send’ to share your chat message with others in the room.
Locating the Chat Area - Once you enter chat, the middle section of the page where the dialogue appears is called the chat area.
Sending a Message - The small box below is the text box where you type your messages. Click here once to set your cursor and then you're ready to start talking. Type what you'd like to say and then hit enter or click the send button.
Moving to a Different Chat Room - click on the name of the room you'd like visit in the navigation area located on the left side. Then click on ‘join’ to join the room and click on ‘leave’ to leave the room.
On the left side of the chat window you can see people who are online in various rooms.
There are no restrictions over the use of chat rooms; you can join any chat room you like but you can be present only in one chat room at a time.
To move to a different chat room, click on the name of the chat room of your choice and then click on ‘Join’
To send a private message to a user, type "<User’s name> your message” and then click the ‘Send’ button or press Enter
Example- “ <neha beri> Hii! ”
When someone sends you a private message, they ‘whisper’ to you so that no one else but you can get the message.
Example- If Neha said “Hi!” in a private message to you, her message will appear like this in the chat area- “Neha whispers: Hi!”. No one else in the room except you will be able to see this message.
