Ant-Man is cinematic proof that awesome things come in small packages. Nobody could have imagined Paul Rudd as a superhero, but he proves all his doubters wrong, while keeping his trademark goofiness about him. An excellent supporting cast in Michael Douglas and Michael Pena ensure this ant sized Marvel movie is no lesser than the big guns.

Hank Pym is a genius inventor whose scrapped his latest invention because he fears its misuse. Unbeknownst to him, his protege, Cross, plans to double cross him and use his invention for evil. Hank decides to enlist the services of Scott Lang (i.e. Rudd) to run interference in cross' dastardly plan. Lang happens to be a petty theif whose life revolves around his daughter. Seeing a chance to finally do some good, Lang agrees to this mission.

Even taking into account Marvel's illustrious past, I didn't think Ant Man would be as good as it is. Again, who could have imagined Paul Rudd as a superhero? Who could have guessed that Chris Pratt will be a box office dynamo? Serious props go to Marvel for making some of the most spot-on, yet unlikely, casting choices ever. Back to the movie - the acting is excellent with some unique and thoroughly entertaining action scenes ensure you will not get bored for even a second. Speaking from the POV of an unbaised Marvel fanboy (yes, there is such a thing), Ant-Man is a must watch.
