The story is the old identical -looking- people- leading -to mix -ups in lovers, spouses and bhais and decent guys. Everyone runs around in different clothes, then similar clothes then swapped clothes till the situation resolves itself. The story here mercifully moves quickly with almost zero drag. The unfortunate thing is nothing is really funny at all and you watch it with a sense of resignation. There are a few avoidable songs but it's all clean so if you are stuck with baby sitting a ten year old you can safely take the kid to this one. Some popcorn, Coke and the kid may even laugh at the feeble jokes.
The cast is actually quite engaging. Gulshan Grover is a Professor and a gay dance teacher. He looks quite dignified. Amrita Raichand plays his wife. Dressed in gorgeous clothes she can easily play the part in a lot more movies, she has the poise and confidence.Ali Fazal plays the bhai and boyfriend pretty well. He looks and acts better here than the vapid role he played in Fukrey. Someone please give him better roles. Anisa Butt the heroine is sweet but overdressed like a Hindi serial heroine. The only mildly funny guys are Razzak Khan who plays the gay Pathan don who keeps singing Pushtuni romantic songs and his sidekick who keeps crying at the drop of a hat.
Should you watch it? No. I know that's not nice but well I wasn't invited to the party so can be honest about the food.
