If you’re a horror movie buff, you will walk out on this film even before it gets to the interval. This is one of those films where the formula “Original Idea = Scripts of about five Hollywood films + Sentiment” is the order of the day. There are usually two types of ghosts in these kind of movies. One, where the audience is supposed to be scared of a ghost that looks so ugly, they start feeling sorry for it by the third time it appears. Some will even throw spa coupons at the screen. Two, where the ghost looks like the lead singer of a Death Metal band – long hair that serves as curtains for the face. Baby uses the second type.

This film is cleverly titled Baby, because it all starts with babies being switched. One of the mothers dies of shock since she assumes her baby is missing and therefore dead. She begins haunting her child, who is now someone else’s daughter. All of this is revealed during a painful flashback that nobody gives a damn about. In the end, the ghost fades away once it is satisfied with the parenting skills of her daughter’s foster family. Now, how many of you would like to try and watch this?
