Bhootnath Review - Bhoot for kidsSep 13, 2010NewsIts the time, the filmmakers have started pandering to the teen generation. Director Vivek Sharma comes out with a fun rendition of ghost for the kids to watch for. And of course, Amitabh Bachchan again comes out with a totally different appearance and character of a funny-looking ghost very well to bring another great performance. Aditya Sharma (SRK) is an engineer on a cruise and has wife Anjali Sharma (Juhi chawla) and kid Aman Sharma (Aman Siddiqui). Aditya decides to move to Goa to a villa which is rumoured to be troubled with spirit. They ignore it and move into it. Meanwhile, Aditya has to leave for his job and Anjali and Aman have to stay back. Now the rumour turns out to be true because there is a ghost of Kailash Nath (Amitabh Bachchan) in the haveli. But he is visible to Aman, moreover, Aman is unscared of him, instead take him very lightly and calls him Bhootnath. Now this Bhootnath turns angry for the frivolity with which the kid is treating him, but Aman remains unabated with his gibes at Bhootnath. Soon, a friendship develops and the fun continues, although this is all childlike (read not childish). Amitabh brings out a wonderful character of Bhoot, dishevelled and shabby. He is very believable, amusing and connecting. He amuses throughout. SRK deosn't have much to offfer. Child artist, Aman does a decent job. Juhi is at her natural act and SRK doesn't have much to do here. Ofcourse, SRK sports a pony. Its a fun ride for children and amusing throughout with the pranks and comic dialogues pervades the length of the movie, add to it Bachchan's act of Bhootnath. The ending is too dragged and melodramatic sapping the fun part of it. Fun movie to watch out for kids, there is nothing scary in it, only a comedy made out of a ghost.Varun Bhootnath Review - Bhoot for kids Sep 13, 2010

It's a boring movie and the bhoot will not at all scare you, but can make you laugh a little.
