Cinderella has always spelt magic. An age old fairy tale that generations have grown up with has time and again been brought back to life in different depictions and tellings over the years. This time again, Disney has goten back with another depiction of the age old tale with a new age telling, lots of grandeur and a truckload of magic.

Cinderella is the tale of Ella who lost her mother at a young age while her father rediscovers love years after his wife's death. For the sake of his happiness, Ella lets her father, who happens to be a rich merchant, marry the widow he fell in love with and get her two daughters back home. Ella's father dies soon after, leaving her and all the wealth to her step mother- Lady Tremaine and her step sisters. Not quite a surprise that Ella was left lonely and ignored and of course harassed by the new members. Yet, Ella never forgot what her mom taught her, "Be kind and have courage."

A series of surprises and coincidence of fate introduced her to Prince Charming. While there certainly was some love at frst sight, the grand ball was where Ella's dreams would come true. Fairy Godmother was right there to her rescue as her rags turned into a fine gown and her little mice friends turned into horses, while the pumpkin from her garden turned into chariot. It was one magical night. While Cinderella was the prettiest of them all, alll she could do was run away before the strike of midnight, leaving the young Prince hunting for her.

Everything about this film is magical in the right amounts. Some excellent cinematography and music make a Cinderella a journey to experience. You can't forget the wickedness of Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine, nor the beauty of Lily James as Ella/ Cinderella. The magical little twist happens to be the Fairy Godmother Helena Bonham Carter who also narrates the tale with much finess.

While kids have all the reason to watch Cinderella, I'd recommend that adults to go watch this tale of kindness, goodness, courage and some magic to restore their faith in the fine joys of life that come easier with being good.

This one's a Disney tale at it's best! Quite an envy, I'd say!
