Cinema Chupista Mama brings back the hit pair of Raj Tarun and Avika Gor back to the screen. This time though, the innocence is missing and has been replaced by a strange stubbornness in the hero who makes a case for all those guys who haven't even finished their 12th standard but want to stake their claim for an unlikely love tale.
In this movie, a wiry thing young guy eve teasing his love himself feels like the good guy beating up other eve teasers. In the movie, the same guy gives everyone a mini lesson on what was wrong in Mahabharata, even though he manages, in some weird way to enroll himself into an Engg college without having passed 12th standard, leave alone writing the Eamcet, AIEEE or some othe entrance exam. He even manages to become Student of the Year. He does all this because he is in love with Parineeta (Avika Gor), who manages 996 out of 1000 in 12th exams. Soon, she falls for him because there is a lot of pent-up frustration in her as well. Anyways, like any responsible dad, her father (Rao Ramesh) hates this unlikely pair too. So, he sets him a challenge. Suffice to say, it's a little like a permutation of the Bommarillu challenge.
The movie focuses on some fun in the first half and then some drama in the second half. The funny bits are mostly Zabardasth style, work at times, don't work most of the times and show a naivete in screenplay that is annoying. The second half is all about drama, pitting the underdog hero against the potential father in law, two men deciding with a bet what happens. He has some good dialogues, like boyfriend being the wings she needs to fly and father being the legs to rest after flying. But, the story is undone by a couple that push the whole boy and girl next door concept without any charm at all. The dialogues are not stirring and neither is the music. It is a movie you can watch if you watch just about anything rom-com.
