Uncovering the unpleasant truth that slithers in the murky fields of entertainment, fashion and business, Madhur Bhandarkar, thought why not attempt comedy for a change. But unfortunately the fields that have not been treaded before cannot be expected to be excelled at just at one shot. Mr. Madhur Bhandarkar you need to work more hard and maybe join the biggies of comedy for another such attempt. The movie Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji has now joined the likes of duds that attempted their hand at the cinema screen but couldnt woo the audience with their charm. The movie is a decent attempt with slight hints of comedy.
The director rolls up his sleeves and features actors such as Ajay Devgan, Imran Hashmi and the newbie but a sweetheart Omi Vaidya and femal actors Shazahn Padamsee, Shruti Haasan, Tisca Chopra and Shraddha Das. The medium budgeted movie features Ajay Devgn trying his luck at romance, Emraan's bad boy act once again and sweet Omi Vaidya man child performance. The lady actresses also play good acts and not to forget cute Shazahn Padamsees Rocket Singh performance shes once again a good actor and even a promising one to say. Tisca plays the mature and moody part where as Shruti Haasan does the cold and calculating act and Shraddha Das seems to be out and out exploitative.
Hence this light hearted entertainment is welcomed and appreciated for its attempt in a week where there were no interesting releases to look forward to. Thus, a good one time watch from my side.
