    A screen adaptation ofCheryl Strayed’s bestselling memoirWild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail is to have the screenplay byNick Hornby and the fresh feeds coming on the same are that Reese Witherspoon is finally locked to play the lead. The flick entitled Wild will be produced bythe actressWitherspoonherself andBruna Papandrea along withRiver Road Entertainment’sBill Pohlad. The makers of Wild have not decided on its director but as soon as the director gets finalized the production will go on floors.

    Fox Searchlight, a division ofFox Entertainment Group has acquired the rights of the forthcoming drama Wild. The flick is aninspiringstory ofa woman named Strayed who gets traumatized after the death of her mother and later disintegrates with her marriage partner. Strayed takes an impulsive decision to hike on an 1100-mile Pacific Crest Trail and that too alone.
