Tom Cruise may sue National Enquirer

After Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes reached an out of court divorce settlement, the attorney of the Top Gun actor has now threatened the National Enquirer with a multimillion-dollar lawsuit for publishing numerous false and defamatory reports about the superstar. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cruise's attorney Bert Fields has alleged that the magazine reported "false and vicious lies" about Cruise. "As you were notified in advance, your current issue of National Enquirer makes numerous false and defamatory assertions about our client Tom Cruise," the attorneys letter written to the publisher read.
