Take a mediocre 90’s Bollywood concept, smear crap all over it and you end up with something about half as bad Hey Bro. With mediocre acting, an utterly worthless script and poor dialogues and humor, there is no reason to see this movie. Unless you’re a masochist, of course.
Gopi is a young guy who lives with his grandfather. One day, his grandfather suddenly decides to inform him about his twin brother, who lives in Mumbai. They’re apart because when his parents separated, they took one child each. Gopi decides to go and find his brother in Mumbai. What he doesn’t know is that his brother and he are not identical twins. This leads to some truly atrocious scenes under the guise of ‘comedy’ where Gopi is searching for his brother who is seemingly hiding in plain sight. Also, Gopi is in trouble with the local mafia, who his brother is trying to catch. Will they team up and take him down, (and bond in the process)? The answer to that is as obvious as all the so called twists in this movie.
Hey Bro is a sad excuse for a movie. There is nothing of value in it. No joke, no scene, no song really stands out and when it does, its for all the wrong reasons. There are zero reasons for one to subject oneself to this torture. Steer clear of this one.
