Home alone is one of those type of movie which you can watch almost every Christmas or on any occasional holidays when you have nothing to do. Its really hilarious and will keep you entertained throughout. Macaulay Culkin is so adorable and such a good actor. And the very idea of a little boy fighting off thieves on the eve of Christmas sounds so much fun!
Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), is accidently left home alone by his family who go away for a holiday to Paris. Trouble really starts when two pesky burglars, Harry Lime (Joe Pesci) and Marv Merchants (Daniel Stern), decide that their next burglary will be at the McCallister residence. Little do they know Kevin is more than prepared, arming the house with an array of traps and ammunitions that would impress even the top spies of American government. Even though all of it looks a little too exaggerated for an eight year old to handle, its great fun!
All the actors in the movie have delivered brilliant performances. There is an important message in the movie that family is what really matters to a child, or to anyone, and having them home for the holidays is better than wandering a huge house all by yourself. Next time your alone during Christmas, grab a DVD of 'Home Alone' and you wont feel so bad!
