Time travel films are quite rare in Indian cinema. That's a genre more associated with the west but will you believe if I told you that Balakrishna did a time travel film called Aditya369 almost 20 years back in tollywood. One good thing about Indru Netru Naalai is that the industry has opened up for experiments and audience will also accept it if the film is entertaining or engaging. INN was both.

Story is pretty simple. A jobless boy falls in love with a pretty girl, who is rich too. That's one deadly combination. Her parents won't agree like always. He gets drunk and stumbles upon a time travel machine. How his life changes henceforth is the movie all about. It does both good and the bad and how he handles this is the climax.

The story looks pretty straightforward but when there are sequences that go back and forth in time, the screenplay and detailing has to be top notch. I loved the screenplay for its and keeping things clear and in sync. There are a few ifs and but's but it was never confusing. However some portions with the villain could have been avoided to make it more gripping.

Technically the film was good. Editing was brilliant, which created a smooth flow to the film. Scene transitions were perfect. Cinematography was decent and I loved the lighting and framing in the film. Music by HipHop Tamizha was OK but his BGM created a nice mood for the film.

Vishnu underplayed his role and looked more matured and a calm actor. His script selection is appreciative. Karunakaran is a laugh riot. I love his style of comedy. Simple counter dialogues and impeccable timing. Mia George was pretty and looked more comfortable in this film. TM Karthik as the scientist was brilliant in his role.

Watch INN for its uncomplicated screenplay and a difference experience. Its fairly engaging except for the villain part. The film will not confuse you with scientific terms. Its a fantasy film and that's all it is. The film is predictable but still makes you look forward for the next scene. its entertaining as well as engaging. Go watch this first time attempt in theaters.
