Sam Mendes won’t direct James Bond’s next

Skyfallmaker,Sam Mendes, confirms the news to a leading international tabloid that he wouldn’t be directing James Bond’s 24^thadventure. BAFTA’s Outstanding British Film prize winner seems to focus more on hisupcomingtheater projects.

Mendes commented, “It has been a very difficult decision not to accept Michael [G. Wilson] and Barbara [Broccoli]’s very generous offer to direct the next Bond movie. DirectingSkyfallwas one of the best experiences of my professional life, but I have theatre and other commitments, including productions ofCharlie And The Chocolate FactoryandKing Lear, that need my complete focus over the next year and beyond.”

He added saying that he will feel honoured to be a part of the Bond family and will love to work again in future if possible.

Sam directedSkyfallthat earned$1.1 billion and has become the highest-grossing film ever at the British box office.
