If you are over the age of 15, you may, and in fact most probably will be disappointed with the few plot holes, and excessive drama in the film. I can however imagine children loving the film, and parents walking out 100% satisfied.
I'm not a huge fan of The Rock, his massive muscles and man boobs which he wasn't afraid to show-off throughout the film. Also I get really annoyed while sitting in a theater when I can pick out the obvious loopholes in the film. Having said this, Journey 2 was probably one of the few films I have seen which has it's 3D effects, bang on! So bang on that in one specific scene, the whole row of audience I was sitting with, screamed together as a strange looking insect jumped towards us!
Acting throughout the film is average, which is pretty much what I expected when I heard that Vanessa Hudgens was casted as one of the leads. But this again, is something most teens (especially boys, if I am not mistaken) would love! Though the story was average, the beautiful location of the film makes up for some of it.
Overall, I would say watch it if you have kids, if you are a kid, or if you have nothing better to do this weekend. Not a movie worth watching on TV, unless you have a fancy 3D television.view less
