Ram Charan Teja’s roadside tiff triggers political tussle

Earlier it was heard that, to follow their age-old traditions, police has once again not taken any action in the recent roadside scuffle case of Ram Charan and even the techie-victims Phaneesh and Kalyan refused to file a complaint against Union minister Chiranjeevi's son, after police intervened for a while. But it has definitely generated a political controversy down South.

Demands have been made by YSR Congress Party spokesperson P. Srinanth and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) that police should register a case against the actor. Telangana Lawyers' Joint Action Committee has also not left this golden opportunity to defame Chiranjeevi, who has already been in their bad notes for his anti-Telangana stand. They have vowed to make a representation to City Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma to register a case.

Though Phaneesh initially narrated the entire incident leading to his leg-injury, he declined to lodge an official complaint against the actor after having a detailed conversation with the police on the same at the Banjara Hills police station. When contacted, the injured sufferer could only say, "It was unfortunate the incident took place. I don't want to make it big". According to Murali, the inspector at the Banjara Hills police station, victims’ statements have been recorded by them and Ram was not the offender but he was only an eye-witness to his security guards’ crime.
