Ko 2 is an interesting political thriller that's high on sharp political dialogues that go well with the election fever in Tamil Nadu. The audiences have been able to connect with the dialogues mouthed by Bobby Simha and Prakash Raj, who engage in a series of thought-provoking conversations, especially in the second half, that are quite impactful.

The array of twists and turns that unfurl in the second half keep the audiences hooked. Taking inspiration from Telugu film Pratinidhi, director Sarath has written this story to suit the sensibilities of Tamil audiences, who take delight in Bobby Simha's lines that rebukes the system and its apparent loopholes. The vigilante movies have been a done to death subject in Kollywood but Ko 2 stands apart by keeping things minimal and without going over-the-top.

Bobby Simha's not-so-effective Rajinikanth mannerisms hard to not notice and Nikki Galrani plays a journalist with no muscle. Meanwhile, supporting characters Bala Saravanan serves his purpose well and Karunkaran's emotional role was quite a surprise. Leon James takes the brownie points for coming up with a pleasing background score.
