This is truly a very memorable movie that had a hand in making the star Shahrukh a superstar. The movie is a landmark Bollywood film. It is melodramatic and full of colourful song and dance numbers, but it also offers more than your average Hindi film. Its the type of movie you cannot get tired of and will leave you with a smile once youre done watching it. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol work with electrifying chemistry. Their scenes together are pure magic. Both give amazingly crafted performances. Kajol is more impressive as the cool tomboy who transforms into an attractive sensitive woman.

The film starts off with Tinas (Rani Mukherjee) death and a mourning Rahul (Shahrukh Khan). The next scene is eight years later when their daughter is eight years old. We see that Shahrukh is still in love with his wife Tina. On his daughter, Anjalis (Sana Saed) eighth birthday she reads a letter from her mother telling her about Anjali (Kajol) who loved her father and was Rahul's best friend in collage. However after she learned that Rahul loves Tina she left the collage without a trace. On Anjalis departure, Tina realizes that Anjali loved Rahul too much and he would have probably loved her too. Here the flashback ends and little Anjali vows to fulfil her mothers desire to get her father and Anjali back together.

Great performances, great direction, super hit music; will make you remember all those days in college. And there are plenty moments which will make you roar with laughter. If you decide to take the time out to watch this film, youre sure to have a ball of a time!
