Tell me again why we try making an erotic thriller in Bollywood ? right cause sex makes even the oldest amongst us turn into pubescent school lads aching to explore the forbidden fruit.
So since we have to inevitably churn these films out regularly why not bring some craft to it ? Love Games by Vikram Bhatt removes even the last facade of film making such erotic films hide behind.
neither is there enough sex on screen nor is there decent acting or story. why then make something this drab in the first place ?
patralekha , in an image makeover after her debut as a simple deglam poor girl in a city, plays one half of a duo that entices unassuming couples at parties only to find out who manages to get laid first. Her partner in crime gaurav falls in love with one such girl they are trying to entice , played by Tara, and breaks up with patralekha. only the latter is not ready to burn bridges with her boy toy and sours the story for everyone.
there is a lot of skin show in the film. yet all of it is awkward and amateur, not cause of the actors who actually give it their all, but due to the weird way the film is directed and strung together. dreadfully cringe worthy dialogues add to the mess making it an insufferable experience.
the music is hummable, an excuse to get the actors to loose some amount of clothes and moan and heave. in between they pretend there is a story they are trying to tell us . as an audience you should too pretend you are enticed titillated and aroused by the proceedings I suppose ? sorry I am not that good at pretending. stay away.
