Review

It is based on a series of the same name. However no pior knowledge of the series will not stop you from enjoying the film.

The first 15 minutes of the film are enough to hook the audience, the starting action sequence between Napolean Solo and Illya Kuryianit is just the right amount. It is a good blend of humor with action. As the story begins and starts to unfold the visuals get better. The background score of the film is very supportive to the theme of the film.  Armie hammer (illya Kuryakin) has  conveniently adapted the role of the Russian spy and he nails. Alicia Vikander’s screen presence is eye catchy and Henry Cavill looks good as he is.

The story is mostly like an average spy film but what gets interesting is the use of wit, which doesn’t let the audience get bored. The humor in fact at certain places dominates the story. However there are instances in the film which looked unrequired and that might deviate audience attention. For instance- the mention of the extended holocaust before Napolean Solo was being tortured to death.

So, if you enjoy a  serious story begin told in a witty manner then it is  good entertainment package for you.
