Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani: Banked 75 crores within four days, outperformed Dabangg 2

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer YJHD’s collections has gone over Rs. 75 crores within the four days of its release. The film had earned Rs. 62.75 crores as compared to Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2’s Rs. 58.5 crores in the opening weekend. Box office’s figures clearly indicate the next superstar in the making as Ranbir’s films are now becoming a permanent part of the 100 crores club; first Rockstar then Barfi! and hopefully YJHD now.

The film has been produced under Kjo’s banner of Dharma Productions, directed by Ayan Mukherjee. The flick also features Kalki Koechlin and Aditya Roy Kapur and a special dance number from Madhuri Dixit, Ghagra with Ranbir is too a massive hit. The songs of the film are already topping the list. It is expected that YJHD will cross the mark of 100 crores by mid week and a slowdown is also expected as Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 is going to be released on June 7 and its release might affect YJHD’s collection.

So far the film is moving strong and the chemistry of Ranbir and Dippy is attracting audiences to come and see them on the big screen.
