Business numbers have kept soaring for Ayan Mukerji's 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani since it has earned Rs. 62.11 crore in its opening weekend. It seems the elite Rs. 100 crore club is not a distant dream for the film anymore.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "#YehJawaaniHaiDeewani collected Rs 62.11 cr nett in opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 19.45 cr, Sat 20.16 cr, Sun 22.5 cr. Outstanding!" Ranbir Kapoor has definitely clinched the show again for the makers of the film. While being widely appreciated, the film has also garnered criticism from the end of J & K chief minister Omar Abdullah as it has allegedly portrayed scenic Gulmarg as Manali.

Omar tweeted in annoyance, "Those of you planning to visit Manali because of what you saw in 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani', except for the temple and Span resort, it's all Gulmarg,.” He also added, "It is irritating when we roll out the red carpet and facilitate the shoot only to have people believe it's Manali.” Omar said to a leading daily, "I am not hurt or upset. Neither am I being irrational, just trying to protect the interest of my state. Just don't want people flocking to Manali for what is really Gulmarg.” Omar tweeted further asking, "If anyone has seen the movie can you tell me whether they have at least mentioned the state in the credits (opening or closing).” Let’s hope Ayan has already planned something relevant to answer Omar’s questions.
