I learnt two things this afternoon.
Two things can survive an industrial level chemical blast. Emran Hashmi and a MTNL landline.
And that having the gori ka dukaan above a paan ka dukaan is so 1980s. The way to go now is to have an ATC safehouse below a rockin' club with goris gyrating item numbers while you hide from a fugitive.
So Arunodhay Singh makes for a smokin' hot ATC head. He has the brawn *definitely* he has the brains to spot an office romance..(inspid Amyra Dastur playing cutsie with our man Emran Hashmi and also a honohar ATC officer as is Emran Hashmi playing Raghu also dashing also brave ATC officer) and work it to his advantage, he also has the support of a loyal coterie who will implicate their fellow officer in a terrible assasination plot. Now why does this genteman have to play politics politics with Loser Son of Current CM so Daddy Dearest gets assasinated the son gets sympathy vote and he gets to be the Commissioner Police we will never understand. Hey, you can get there on your own.
So yes, an opening half hour from Nick of Time (which has already ben 'nicked' by BADSHAH) and a little bit from B-Grade Hollywood over the years; and we have a product where the only thing that appears to disappear again is a story line. Also South Africa. The characters get in a car in Mumbai drive down South Africa roads and hey I really dont have the patience to keep up. And yes Emran Hashmi's Mr. X. Amyra's character makes for a terrible girlfriend/fiance/colleague...but then Ms Dastur makes for a terrible actress as it is. I am very fond of Mr Hashmi but seriously Emran stop doing this to us and films.
But the biggest *disappoint* (and hey Im not using big as fat shaming) is Tanmay Bhat as annoying sidekick. What Man.
Mr X should be treated like most of our Exes. Just dont take that call, yaar.
