Verdict

“Naaigal Jakirathai is an interesting and sensible thriller packed with loads of entertainment. Though Sibiraj and others have given commendable performances, Idoh the dog is the true hero of the film. A Must Watch!”

Naaigal Jaakirathai marks the return of both Director Shakthi Soundar Rajan and Actor Sibiraj after a long four years gap from their last outing in 2010’s Naanayam. Naaigal Jaakirathai is produced by Actor Sathyaraj and a trained Belgian Shepherd dog named "I Doh" plays an important role along with Sibiraj, Arundathi, Balaji, Manobala and many more.

Naaigal Jaakirathai portrays how an unknown dog, Mani (I Doh) gets into a life of a wounded police man, Karthik (Sibiraj) and makes him to change and helps him when he needed the most and gives his whole life for him. Now a days, Animal based films are becoming so rare in Tamil cinema. There was a time when at least one film per year becomes super hit based on Animals love towards human or where an animal takes the lead role.

Director Shakthi Soundar Rajan’s work can be much appreciated for his screenplay and his guts to portray it as real as he can. No cinematic masala added anywhere in the screenplay and presented it so real to the viewers. Sibiraj should be wished for his generosity in the intro title card. Though the film was produced by his dad, he allowed I Doh’s name to roll first in the title card and others follows it.

Negative sides are much less in this film but I have found one during the second half. There will be life or death investigation mode is operated by Karthik and begins his search with just 6 hours time as a deadline. So as per the screenplay, he will be running, searching and fighting until the climax. Looks of Karthik and others during the search period will be so fresh. Only during the climax sequence, Karthik will look ruggy and rest part he along with others will look as fresh as they were out from fresh bath. This was the only one negative point which I have found during the second half as make up dept fault. Rest of the work from each and every dept of this film ensures the success of the film even before its final result.

Naaigal Jaakirathai’s camera work is handled by DOP, Nizar Shafi & Music by Dharan Kumar lifts the film to another level and gives the proper credit for the story line. Overall, Naaigal Jaakirathai is a perfect seat edge thriller and worth watching. Enjoy it screens..!!!
