    Now Apoorva Lakhia'sZanjeerremake has landed itself in another copyright problem with veteran script writer Salim Khan, who wrote Prakash Mehra’s1973 blockbusterZanjeeroriginal along with Javed Akhtar, has demanded a compensation of Rs. 6 crore as royalty.

    Salim Khan has filed a case against the producers of the remake, Reliance Entertainment and Amit Mehra, with the Scriptwriter's Association and demanded a royalty of Rs. 3 crore for the Hindi version and another Rs. 3 crore for the Telugu version of the much-talked about film. According to the noted writer before licensing the script of the original film to Prakash Mehra, he and Akhtar had copyrighted the script and made it clear to the filmmaker that they will be eligible for the royalty if the film is remade ever again.
