Salman Khan to show his extensive support for Sooraj Pancholi

Late actress Jiah Khan’s boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi has come under the special protection of superstar Salman Khan now. Sooraj’s parents have been urged by the star to stay mum on his debut film Hero, the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 blockbuster.

Sooraj met Salman, who is also the producer of the remake, last week in Hyderabad. The industry heavyweight also declared to prepone the launch of Sooraj, though discussions should not be revealed to media about the matter. Salman has taken the responsibility of talking about the launch of the young lad. An insider said, “Salman feels too much is said about Sooraj and his debut film (a remake of the 1983 hit Hero, which Salman will co-produce with filmmaker Subhash Ghai). So he has asked Aditya and his family to avoid talking too much about it.” Hero’s shooting has been rescheduled to November of this year, preponed from January 2014.

Dad Pancholi confirmed the news saying, “Yes, by the grace of God everything seems to be getting back on the right track. We will be starting the film sooner than we thought.” He said further, “I can’t say anything (about the meeting with Salman or Sooraj’s debut venture). It’s not like Salman bhai has barred us from speaking, but he has said, ‘Ab main bolunga (now I will talk)’. So we would rather keep quiet.” Sooraj will be seen in the title character in Hero, reprising the role of Jackie Shroff. Sooraj will be paired up opposite Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya, another debutante who will revisit the role of Meenakshi Sheshadri in the film. The remake will have some of the songs from the original film while some fresh numbers will also be added by Sajid-Wajid. It seems Sooraj’s parents have found out the perfect counsellor for their son this time.
