Charlie Brown, Snoopy and their bunch of friends are perennial and everyone has their own favorite character. The movie is a 3D animation of the comic strip but still retains the cartoon strip flavour, which is a good thing. You don’t mess with a classic too much.

The little red haired girl is new in town. Charlie falls in love with her and wants her to notice him but his insecurities get in the way and as usual things go wrong with anything he tries. On the other side, Snoopy is busy fending off the Red Baron and romancing the beautiful Fifi in his novel.

The 2 tracks run parallel to each other and make a good contrast between the neurotic Charlie Brown and the swashbuckling Snoopy as the WW1 Flying Ace. Everyone else shows up as well including the very cute little birds that are hilarious. Interestingly, the adult voices are just like booming sounds, with no dialogues, putting all adults in their rightful place in a kid’s world- not important and not heard.

There are a few lessons to be learnt from the story but mostly it is just a simple film about the small things that become the big things in one’s childhood. A very enjoyable vacation watch for kids and adults alike. Don't walk away before the credits end. There is more stuff there!
