    Court snubs stay of Dabangg 2 and Race 2

    The High Court of Delhi has rejected to stay the television release of the sequels ofRaceandDabangg. The censor board is being criticized by the HC. A bench of Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice VK Jain has refused the stay, as they’ve not seen the films and it would be inappropriate to grant the public release without watching them.

    The court said, “We are not experts and have not seen the movies. How can we stay the films on the basis of photographs we saw?” The court slammed the censor board by saying that it is having no problem in easily giving certificate to every film.

    The appeal was filed againstRace2 for showing nude sequences and some double-meaning dialogues and the petition againstDabangg2 is to put a ban on the item songFevicol Se, claiming that it was confrontational. The lawyer for the petitioner said that TV telecast should be stayed so that the flicks can be released on channels during Holi.
