Rocky Handsome is a quintessential John Abraham movie. There's full proof action, a major violent streak, some really cool daredevil stunts and ofcourse, no movie is complete without some amount of melodrama! However, this one's definitely not for the faint-hearted. If you're a peace loving person, Rocky Handsome is not your cup of tea and you might just not be able to handle the amount of violence shown.
First half of the film develops the mystery around John's character which definitely keeps you intrigued. With his chiseled body and dare devil personality, he does what he's best at it: kicking some serious butt. The scene right before the intermission will make you go WOAH!
There's hardly anything in the movie that you haven't seen before. It will definitely remind you of Abraham's previous outing, Force but on another note, Rocky Handsome has its own good points. The climax especially, has been very well shot with some jaw dropping action sequences.
Shruti Haasan in her brief role is impressive and the anti-heroes have done a pretty decent job! The little girl playing Naomi, delivers a confident performance despite not having a role as long as I expected. Even director turned actor, Nishikant Kamath has done a fairly good job. However, it's a John Abraham show all the way. He's present in every single frame and oh boy, does he look handsome or what?
The film could've been shorter and crisper and probably, a little less violent but still, somewhere the film would work for you. I'd give brownie points for some of the action sequences and cinematography. Oh and yes, Nora Fatehi's dance number is glamorous to look at.
