Sarkar Revisited Sep 30, 2010
0 2.5/5

Another brooding, serious cinema from Ram Gopal Verma, a sequel to Sarkar, the movie extends from the same point. It carries the same pace but lacks the freshness of the previous movie.

Shankar Nagre (abhishek Bachchan) has taken over as the new face of Nagre's while Subhash (Amitabh) has taken backseat. Shankar seems interested in an electricity project proposed by Anita Rajan( Aishwarya Rai Bachchan). Subhash vehemently denies it when CM comes to him saying this will displace so many families and people. But Shankar later convinces him saying the short term loss to large term gain. They are opposed at several points regarding the same. And things turn out Shankar's car is blasted with his wife Avantika (TAnisha) two month pregnant, getting killled. He fires his security guard. Meanwhile one of the leader youth Somji is kidnapped and again the suscpicion pointer fells on Nagre's. Chandra the previous bodyguard informs Shankar about it and they get him freed adding him to their clan. And then another twist, while Anita informs Shankar about his
father's corrupt ways, Shankar is shot dead.

The film has lot many twists but still lacks the entertainment and freshness of the previous film. Abhishek couldn't get the intensity as he had for Sarkar. Aishwarya plays a very well leader to dynamic person role. She performs very well.

The film has its high and low points. Too many twists and turns, main hero getting killed, heroine taking over, not so good background score. But its an ok watch.view less

It was a visual delight to watch Amitabh and Abhishek in the same movie. Their performance was outstanding.
