Say Yes To Love is a movie wherein a bar dancer( Nazia Hussein, playing Sarah Jones ) is assigned to tutor the son ( Aasad Mirza, playing as Vijay ) of a wealthy businessman ( Aditya Raj Kapoor) the art of love making. The boy is a school pass out and shy of everything related to a physical relationship with the opposite gender.A sum of Rs 1 crore is the tuition fee ' payable on the 'mission' being completed.Thereafter ,situations are 'created' by the girl to entrap the boy in her jaal.A few steamy scenes and naach gaana is the modus operandi. As all ways happens, the tutor and the pupil fall in love.Do they get married?
Where does SYTL score? The performances of both the new comers point that they have attended coaching classes in acting and dancing. They look confident. The girl ( resembling Preety Zinta and Jaquiline Fernandes) is confident in her debut and the boy seems to be an able dancer like Jeetendra and Shammi Kapoor. However, they need to be tested in emotional scenes for a fair opinion.Aditya Raj Kapoor has the mannerism of his own dad ( Late Shammi Kapoor). The compositions of Jatin - Lalit are hummable.
The prejudice and the concern against the abandonment of the girl child, has a noble intent ( the girl herself wants to be a mother of a daughter, rather than the skewed son factor ).The climax scene is of a different kind.
On the flip side it can be said is that the movie isn't meant for a family audience and the presentation in some scenes is erotic.May be times have changed and it's bold to put across things in the perspective.
All in all,Say Yes To Love may appeal to the pass outs teenagers on the verge of attaining adulthood.view less
