Josh Kovacs, Ben Stiller is the manager of a high rise building which has the wealthiest of residents. One of the residents Arthur Saw traps several employees in a scam and all of a sudden all the employees are left stranded when the FBI arrests Shaw. Kovacs puts up a plan with his gangster neighbor Slide (Eddie Murphy) to rob Shaw and give back the employees their due.
The movie runs at a good pace and never bores you. The laughs entirely rest on Eddie Murphy's shoulders. The bad part is that he has lesser screen time than some of the other cast. The whole plan to rob the millionaire seems stupid and filled with holes. Also Kovacs is shown to be the nicest guy on earth, no other shades which is a disappointment.
Acting wise Ben Stiller does what he does best. Eddie Murphy cracks you up every time he is on the screen and by far is the best actor on the set. Casey Affleck pulls a brilliant master piece.
Writer Ted Griffin introduces innovative plots and does a good job of injecting comedy in the screenplay. Brett Ratner is an accomplished director in his own right. He does an excellent job in pulling out nice performances from his cast and maintains real good flow throughout the movie.
Overall, you could probably catch this on the DVD
