Did the Transporter series really need a remake? If it did, it certainly wasn’t the one we we get right now. Transporter: Refueled is a disappointment. All the more so because we can the potential the reboot has to offer. We also get to see that very potential squandered in front of our yes, courtesy some terrible dialogue and an idiotic plot.

Ed Skrein is younger Jason Statham/Frank with hair who works as a transporter. He has a few simple rules “Never open the package”. “Always wear a seatbelt”. “Don’t change the deal” and “Never make a promise you can’t keep” . While not as deadpan and cold as his later installment, younger Frank still has some moves of his own. He’s hired by a gang of women to hunt down the man who forced them into prostitution. To ensure his cooperation, they hold his father (Ray Stevenson) hostage. As usual, his rules are broken once more to accomplish his task.

Transporter : Refueled is not all bad. The fight scenes have the same ferocity as the earlier installments, but the set pieces do leave you feeling unsatisfied. There’s also some corny acting (By the sisters especially) and dialogue is mostly bland (Leaving aside the exchanges between Frank and his dad). Only the most die hard of Transporter fans need apply, and even they should wait and see it when it comes on TV instead.
