Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga is a perfect popcorn movie where you exactly know what’s going to happen next but it is the comic one liner and the package, which does the trick.

Vasu (Santhanam) and Saravanan (Arya ) grew up together, they even run a mobile shop by coining the first two letters of their names, ‘Vasa’. As carefree youngsters they are having good time but everything takes a ‘U’ turn when Santhanam marries Seema (Banu) who hates the sarcastic Saravanan and asks his fiancé to put full stop to the useless friendship.

Similarly Arya’s girlfriend, Aishwarya (Tamanna) hates Santhanam. With two girls demanding the close friends to not remain close, what the duo does to continue the much needed friendship?

Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga is not a movie where you can expect logic, novel storyline or some heart touching moments, Rajesh’s movies are meant for entertainment and must say, he has succeeded in satisfying the expectation.

Santhanam who was out of form has bounced back big time, his comic liner brings the roof down and his combination with the chilled out Arya is captivating. Though Tamanna didn’t have big time to score, the actress impress us with her effort in getting the lip-sync right and she also brings some good laughter in the film. Among the rest of the actors, Vidyu has done a good job. The scenes featuring Arya and Vidyu are super enjoyable.

To conclude, Vasuvum Saravananum is not a flawless film but then making a mindless comic movie is a tedious job too and Rajesh’s previous venture, All in All Azhagu Raja was a perfect example where we couldn’t even sit through but this time he has got everything right!
