    Sam Mendes to reprise his role as Bond director?

    Sam Mendes’ latest directorial venture, Skyfall grossed $1 billion in the global box office numbers. Now as the latest news has arrived, the director is in talks with Sony Pictures and MGM to make a comeback with another sequel which would be 007's 24th outing.

    It was earlier reported that due to his theatre commitments, Mendes would not direct the next 007 film. But now it seems he has undergone a change of mind and is looking forward to take up the director’s chair once again. The movie’s production is scheduled to begin next year. As reported by Deadline, the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson waited for Mendes to finish his commitment towards West End musical as well as a production of King Lear.

    A few weeks ago it was heard that the producers have started negotiations with The Dark Knight Rises helmer Christopher Nolan to take up Bond 24 only after he wraps up his ongoing sci-fi project Interstellar. Other directors’ names like Ang Lee, Tom Hooper and Nicolas Winding Refn were also doing the rounds. Bond 24’s script is presently under making by Oscar-nominated screenwriter John Logan and it has also been heard that Daniel Craig will once again reprise the role of the world-famous superspy. A 2016 release is aimed for the movie, as of now.
