The most treasured film made in the history of Indian cinema Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge completes 1000 weeks today. What makes this juncture the most special is not for the cast and crew who brought this panorama up, but the viewers and audience who made DDLJ what it is today. The film would never have come so distant if it wasn’t for the love and support that they showered on the film week after weeks for the last 19 years.

    20th October 1995 was a day only to present us with a cinematic gift each one of us would relish for life. The Shahrukh Khan-Kajol starrer that verbalizes volumes about love in each and every single frame, in a way redefined how a film in India can make people change their outlook towards a certain things. A simple and happy story that by the end of 180 minutes does nothing but clinch us with anecdote, emotions, values, drama and pursuit.

    Directed by the young debutant Aditya Chopra, DDLJ narrates a common journey with the heart just at the right place. The film takes you from the captivatingly unsullied locales of Europe to right inside the lap of Punjab’s homecoming embrace. The film will has some mesmerising moments taking you through a world oblivious of anything besides love. Not to mention the wonderful music by Jatin Lalit complimented by Anand Bakshi’s lyrics. There are no grounds for us to have a review here when the world knows the film has stimulated beyond that.
