While some movies come with a big advertisement of being brainlessly torturing, some show enough signs of taking you off the hook and end up living up to the promise. Between such categories are a number of films that play with your minds and ultimately make you look stupid.

    Those movies show enough promise attributing to the credit and con you into being a well-made cinematic experience. However, it is only after you watch them that you realize you probably got conned in the name of a good director, good actors or mostly dependable writers.

    Promise Made: Apart from being the collaboration of the decade with Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan coming together, this 300 crore Yash Raj film was expected to be the greatest adventure drama.

    Reality: With a less than alluring plot line, the film is a tedious watch that not even an Aamir Khan promise could withhold. The film was expected to crosses over 500 crrores business at the box office but that faded away as soon the first reviews came out.

    Reality: With a narrative so convoluted, Fitoor barely touched a right chord. An out of place guest appearance by Ajay Devgn, an overly dramatic Tabu and a non-existing chemistry between the lead pair was what we were treated with.

    Shaandaar (2015)

    Reality: Most of the viewers who watched this romantic drama/comedy were found coming out of theaters with a headache. The film was a plain bore that just didn’t have a point it wanted to make. A big let-down!

    Reality: While some do not really hate this film to the core for its valiant effort, the truth is the film truly was big dire bore. It almost took forever to come out of its shell and by the time the audiences had given up on the result.
