    Aamir Khan’s masterpiece, 3 Idiots, has been nominated in the Best Outstanding Foreign Language Film category at 37th Japan Academy Awards. As revealed in the award’s official website, 3 Idiots is competing with the likes of Captain Philips, Django Unchained, Gravity and Les Miserables in this category.

    Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan, was released on December 23, 2009. The movie was an entertaining criticism of the contemporary education system in India and it was released in Japan in June 2013. The Japan Academy Awards is a prestigious award ceremony which started in 1978 by the Nippon Academy Award Association. The ceremony will be held on March 7 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo.
