6 Upcoming Films That Might Break Bollywood’s Box Office Jinx Of 2017!

The first half of the year has been over for quite some time and we are still waiting for a miracle to happen in Bollywood. Ever since Baahubali 2 released, it raised the standards of the box-office. And at this time when 100 crore is a passé, Bollywood is struggling to give a box-office hit that can go anywhere close to Baahubali. While Raees did a decent business at the beginning of the year and so did Badrinath Ki Dulhania, the box-office collection slackened after Baahubali released. A lot of expectations were with Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’, but with the film tanking, it looks like Bollywood is in a jinx and desperately needs a hit!

In the remaining five months there are around 6 films that might break the Bollywood jinx. Check out the list here:

1. Jab Harry Met Sejal

SRK is the king Khan of Bollywood. He has a golden touch that can propel any movie towards 100 crore. But while he has some share of flops too, SRK and Anushka has never failed at the box-office when they appeared together. This time they have the back-up of a strong script and storyline that is typical of Imtiaz Ali. We definitely believe that the results would be outstanding at the box-office.

P.S- the booking for the film has opened a week before the release and ticket prices are as high as 2.4k at many places!

2. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha

Akshay Kumar has a record of delivering blockbusters. And this time should not be any different. Moreover he is releasing the film on 11^th August, which will have a long weekend following it because of the Holidays on the Monday and Tuesday due to Janmasthami and Independence Day.

3. Golmaal Again

The fourth film of the Golmaal franchise is expected to keep up the legacy alive. The film will have new faces like Parineeti Chopra and Tabu, but the old combination of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn hopefully would not be going wrong at all. This film might easily sail through the 1100 crore club given it will be releasing in Diwali!

4. Judwaa 2

Varun Dhawan is the golden boy of the industry. He is on a hit streak with zero flops on his kitty. He is teaming up with his father for the remake of the superhit Salman Khan film Judwaa. What’s more, there will be hotties Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu with him. And the cherry on the cake-  Salman Khan’s cameo! This is definitely going to be a blockbuster hit.

5. Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali will return once again with his favourite Jodi- Deepika Padukone  and  Ranveer Singh in November with his ambitious project- Padmavati. Shahid Kapoor will join the cast this time. The film has already made headlines, once for the casting of the Rana Raval Ratan Singh, that is currently played by Shahid and next when the set was vandalized. There will be a lot of criticism of the film before its release and this might also boost the promotion of the film. Anyways, this film has all the elements to gross 100 crores easily.

6. Tiger Zinda Hai

This is one of the most awaited films of the year. The sequel to the hit EK Tha Tiger will see the superhit Jodi of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif once again. And this time Salman will be in his elements. Needless to  say, this is definitely going to be one of the biggest hits of the year?
