Shahrukh Khan in Dear Zindagi, was seen in a supporting role, playing a psychologist for Alia Bhat. His role was much different than what the actor is usually seen portraying. But, not only was he praised for this role, he even got critical acclamation for the same. Though he was in supporting  role, he still managed to create the right impact on his audience, and gave weight to the movie. 

Darr (1993)

Who doesn’t remember “Kkkkkkkkiraaann”. It’s been more than 2 decades and we still can’t forget Shahrukh Khan’s iconi role in Darr. The actor played a stalker and an obsessive lover of Juhi Chawla in the film. He went beyond his romantic boundaries and established the “anti-hero” in Bollywood.

Chak de India, is one of the most influential sports film, ever made in Bollywood. The film had more than one female lead, yet Shahrukh wasn’t seen romancing any of them, but playing their Hockey coach. The film was directed by Shimit Amin, showcasing Women Hockey team win the Hockey world cup competing against some very powerful countries.

Don (2006)

The remake of Amitabh Bachhan starrer film of the same name, yet again, showed the world that Shahrukh Khan is more than just romance. Shahrukh Khan portrayed the role of underworld Don, who cannot be stopped or caught by anyone whosoever. Seeing SRK in this avatar was a pleasant surprise for his fans, and his acting was loved by many too.

Swades (2004)

Swades, didn’t really do well at the box office, but managed to get a lot of appreciation from the critics. The movie had a very powerful message, and Shahrukh Khan also left no stone unturned to deliver the message as beautifully as he can. He played the role of an American scientist who came to his village to take his Nanny home, but rather settles with her in the village as he realizes, that nothing satisfies you more than living in your own country.

Fan (2016)

Fan was a 2016, Indian psychological thriller film directed by Maneesh Sharma, about a psycho fan who could go to any limit for his idol who looks just like him. The film wasn’t much appreciated by the audience, but the efforts put in by SRK for his role could be clearly seen.

Baazigar (1993)

Directed by Abbas Mastan, the film was loosely inspired by A Kiss Before Dying. Baazigar redefined what a hero is, in Hindi film industry with Shah Rukh Khan playing the role of Ajay Sharma, a man who only want revenge for the loss of his family business. The character as well as the movie, both left an impact on the audience, and are remembered till date.

Raees (2017)

The film was released after a long delay but Shah Rukh returning in a negative avatar was worth the wait. The action, the antics and his sharp and shrewd avatar throughly impressed the audiences. The film not doubt was box office hit and one of the biggest openers of 2017.

We know how iconic of an actor SRK is, and therefore this has made us even more excited for his upcoming film “Jab Harry met Sejal” which is scheduled to release on 4^th August. After his streak of experimental roles we are waiting to see him return in the romantic avatar.
