Aamir Khan's highly anticipated film Dangal has opened to great commercial and critical success. Two years in the making, the film is Mr. Perfectionist's follow-up to the mightily successful PK, which is another critical and commercial milestone. And this makes us wonder, how the actor keeps on making one ground-breaking film after the other.

In an interview with Fever 104, the actor disclosed that he picks his movies on the based on capabilities of his director. Not relying on experience or success rate of a director, he chooses a filmmaker who is thoroughly invested in the script. And this is how he has made risky films such as Rang De Basanti, Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai.

He also pondered on the importance of strong writers in developing stories that end up enthralling audiences. But primarily, according to the actor, it is the director who makes or breaks a film.
