    Film actor, producer and director Aamir Khan, who is taking joy rides from the success of a record breaking flick Dhoom: 3, is willing to make a film on Muslim scholar and nationalist Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Aamir, the great grand nephew of Maulana, commented at the inauguration of Apeejay Kolkata Literary Fest 2014 on Wednesday, "I hope that some day I can use my capabilities, and through the art form that I practise, to make a film on Maulana Azad. It's a dream to bring his life to a larger populace of India."

    The 48-year-old was astonished reading about his predictive instincts, "When I was reading the interview I was amazed at his clear thinking ... his ability to convey in a very clear manner what he felt ... his ability to really predict what was going to happen really hit out at me." He further added to Azad’s expertise, "I read the book that he wrote and that's how I got to know him. He came across to me as an extremely progressive mind, extremely fertile mind, a person who was balanced, a person who really had justice at his core.”

    The Chairman of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies Sitaram Sharma has extended his hands in this step of Aamir and said that Azad's ideas are extremely important today. However, the actor has only said that he wishes to make it and no official announcement of him working on the same, is made yet. Aamir’s directorial debut was Taare Zameen Par, which was a blockbuster. Other than that, he is working on Rajkumar Hirani’s Peekay, which he is financially backing also.
