Aatma 2 to follow Aatma shortly, assures director Suparn Verma

As the horror filmAatmais getting ready to release with a bang on March 22, its director Suparn Verma has also announced his plans of a sequel. "Aatma 2is definitely happening," he said at the launch of the first look ofAatmaon Monday evening. Talking about casting Nawazuddin Siddiqui in his film, Verma said, "I had met Nawazuddin and had told him that if he doesn't decide to do the film. Then he should tell me who else would be able to do it. He heard the script and said yes.” Nawazuddin will be seen along with Bipasha Basu in the film.

It’s the emotional angle that attracted Nawazuddin to act in the film. "This film is not only horror but has an emotional angle too which attracted me towards it. I could feel the story as I also have a daughter. The bonding between the parents and the child shown in the movie attracted me towards it,” the actor said, who won millions of hearts through his acting in films likeKahaani,Gangs of WasseypurandTalaash. In the meantime, Nawazuddin andMurder 2actorPrashant Narayanan have shown immense support to Central Board of Film Certification's (CBFC) decision to be stricter about the content of item songs which go on TV as it could have a negative impact on children. The 39-year-old actor, Nawazuddin said in an interview,"This ban on item songs is very necessary. If you say that TV is a family entertainer, then there are kids as well in a family and don't learn anything other than this.”
