Remo D’Souza’s ABCD 2, which released last week, has maintained its position at the top slot, after second week. In fact, the film has surpassed the records of Tanu Weds Manu and has become the biggest opener of the year. The movie has, by far, minted around Rs. 89 crores and is moving towards the 100 crore club.

Miss Tanakpur Hazir Ho, for long, was creating buzz for featuring controversial subject. Despite being a hot topic for media in the recent past and threatens from Khap community to not release the film, the film failed to transform the buzz it created, into great box office collection. However, considering the budget of the film, the film did a decent business at the Box Office. The first week collection of the film was around Rs. 1.3 crores. The film was highly praised by Amitabh Bachchan and RajKumar Hirani, but still, the political satire couldn’t live up to expectation.

The second release of the weekend was Om Puri and Jimmy Shergill starrer youth comedy drama flick Uvaa. Because of no promotions from the side of the filmmakers, the film never came to notice. Also that the flick released to limited screen, the box office collection was also limited. Uvaa minted around Rs. 90 lakhs in its debut week.
