Abhay Deol on Rock the Shaadi’s setback: It’s tragic

Filmmaker Navdeep Singh’s directorial Rock the Shaadi is put on hold because of some legal issues and the lead actor AbhayDeol is terribly upset with this. Abhaycalls it a brilliant film and considers it one of his funniest films, he has ever done. He expresses his disapproval saying, “It is frustating…I was angry for sometime. Both I and Navdeep Singh (director) had put in months of hard work and energy. It was very sad when it did not happen. Then all sort of stories started floating around, it is not director’s fault, I was around. I have no idea where the project stands, if it is a legal issue or not, I have no clue about it.”

The actor says that he has never worked for TRP, “I have never worked for money. I think money should work for you but you should not work for money, that is my motto. It did not dishearten me at all. I don’t believe in the TRP ratings of our country. I don’t think 6,000 to 10,000 boxes in our country can give me a clear picture of what the audience are watching.” The actor must have great adage behind the project but it’s not releasing. The film stars Genelia D'Souza and Preeti Desai in the female leads made under Balaji Motion Pictures banner. Abhay’s upcoming project includes Bounty Hunter and he is also in talks for the remake of1979 flick Baton Baton Mein.
