Abhishek-Aishwarya Rejects Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun

It seems that something is not right with the script of Anurag Kashyap’s next production Gulab Jamun which is directed by Sarvesh Mewara. The makers are trying to finalise the lead cast for the film but no one is ready to do the film citing different reasons. Earlier the makers tried to approach Huma Qureshi but she turned down the offer as the shooting of the movie was getting delayed.

Later, we heard that the makers were in talk with Bollywood couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but they too rejected the offer. A source tells that the couple did not find the script interesting. Rumours were doing the rounds that the makers were planning to cast Abhi-Ash as they wanted to cast a mature and married couple.

“Anurag wanted Abhishek and Aishwarya to reunite on screen with Gulab Jamun, but the couple apparently turned down the offer recently. The script didn’t excite them enough to come on-screen together,” said the source. A source close to Abhishek said that Anurag’s production house, Phantom, was very keen to cast Abhi and Ash and was talking to them for a very long time but all their efforts went in vain.
