Abusive words sometimes reflect the nature of the film, says Nawazuddin

Sitting on a pile of praises for his performance in Badlapur, actor Nawazuddin Siddique is currently in an admirable mode. The unconventional actor who has been a part of some out of the box movies had his point of share on the cuss words list released by the censor board. While most filmy fraternity lashed out on the list, Nawaz explained his view.

Abusive words sometimes reflect the nature of the film, says Nawazuddin

The 40 year old actor said that the abusive words sometimes reflect the language of the film and the ban might dilute its real impact. “If these cuss words are used only to sensationalise the film, then yes, they should be banned. But sometimes, these words reflect the language of that film. If you are a gangster, you will not go and tell the man you are just going to kill, ‘Aaaiye janaab, kaise hain aap? Agar aap bura na maanein toh main aap ko 8-10 goliyaan maar dun?’ If an actor is playing a gangster, he will abuse and use foul language,” he said.

Nawaz who played a crucial role in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur 1 and 2 also added that films like this and Omkara would not have had the same impact had the words been banned out from the movie. He added that abuses in most part of the country are pretty common and people use it in their general language.
