Aditi Rao Hydari Plays Ringmaster in Her Next

Director Subhash Kapoor has shed some light upon Aditi Rao Hydari’s character who plays the role of a ring master in his upcoming movie Guddu Rangeela. This is the third film from the journalist-turned-filmmaker’s kitty. Guddu Rangeela stars Ronit Roy, Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles.

The director stated, “Guddu (Arshad) and Rangeela (Amit) are two orchestra singers who earn their bread and butter in Haryana. They like to believe their ‘jodi’ as Ram-Lakhan or Jai-Veeru. But, this is just the outside view of the story. The central thread of Guddu Rangeela is about a rampant issue in Haryana and Western UP: Honour Killing”.

Kapoor who is known for his penchant for comedy said, “We all like comedy. Any story with a slight dose of humour can become a memorable one. Also, I like to tell my stories with a tinge of humour. It’s a great tool as it achieves a nice penetration. I like to deal with real people, real situation, and if humour will not be not there then it might become a little boring. I want to avoid that possibility”. This flick is all set to hit the theatres on July 3.
