Advance booking for Happy New Year opens as industry looks to end drought

The advance booking for Shahrukh and team’s Happy New Year has now opened as the theatres across the country hope for a bountiful Diwali. The film that obviously has a huge amount of hype attached to it will look to cash in on a Diwali weekend and earn big.

The Farah Khan directed venture is a huge prospect on canvas with a multi starcast and heavy budget going down under. The question here is, will Happy New Year be able to set new records owing to its popularity and stardom? While Shahrukh’s last film Chennai Express enjoyed a thunderous ride earning over 100 crores in just 3 days besides paid previews, this film will eye to break Dhoom 3’s record of being the highest opener. However, that seems unlikely. The box office has now been quiet for a while ever since Bang Bang and Haider settled down. The fans would hence be waiting for a good cinematic outing to experience. The Diwali has always belonged to Shahrukh Khan and he has mostly acquired success. With Happy New Year approaching as one of the biggest projects in recent years, there’s going to be so much expectations waiting to be fulfilled. We’ll find out soon.
