Do You Know Which Bollywood Star Kid Was The First Choice For Sui Dhaaga Before Varun Dhawan?

‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ writer-director Sharat Katariya made the announcement of Sui Dhaaga: Made in India with Ranbir Kapoor. Initially, the actor seemed to be excited to do the movie. He even kept hopes of the director high, however, he had to back out of the project.

After Ranbir's departure, Sharat roped in Varun Dhawan for the role of Mauji and according to reports, he took less time in saying yes for the film as compared to Ranbir. Anushka Sharma is playing Varun's wife in the film. 

After being roped in for the film, Varun Dhawan had said, "From Gandhiji (Mahatma Gandhi) to Modiji (Narendra Modi), our country’s leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I’m proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a manner that is entertaining and relevant." Anushka said, "I always get excited with unique ideas that have human interest stories. Sui Dhaaga is a story of self-reliance that I believe will connect to the grassroots level with every Indian."

The trailer of the film is out now and the film will release on 28 September 2018.
